This world is an absolutely amazing place, and I believe we owe it to ourselves to explore as much of it as possible. I’ve been privileged to visit three continents so far, and I want to see more. But I also know traveling as a plus-size guy can be challenging.
I want this blog to be a really honest place. I used to be the guy who felt super awkward in my own skin. I didn’t like being the biggest person on a plane, I felt like everyone stared at me while waiting in the lines at amusement parks, and I even started to wonder if I was better off just staying home. Well — newsflash — DO NOT STAY HOME!! Just because I take up a bit more space than other folks, does not mean that I don’t deserve to experience a big, full life.

Near where I live, there’s a spectacular place covered in natural salt, known as the Bonneville Salt Flats. It’s the bottom of an ancient salt-water lake, and in some directions the mineral deposits stretch further than you can even see. I love coming places like this, because I’m reminded that I’m such a small part of this universe, and there is so much I still want to see and do.
So, here we go! I’m going to share my adventures, good and bad. We’ll also discuss things I (and others) have learned along the way to shut down those naysayers. Am I sure to encounter some haters on this journey? Undoubtedly. But I won’t let that keep me from finding my next adventure.
